INSTALLATION of the Track and Components and the Curtain Divider shall be by the owner unless otherwise specified. Usually a Maintenance/Physical Plant Facility can perform this installation with relative ease. We do have complete drawing and specifications. Also, you may contact us for on-site instructions by telephone prior to the installation or while the Curtain is being installed.

With a Walk-Draw Curtain, it is usually best to add 5 to 8 feet to the width of the curtain (based on the overall width of your curtain). This allows the curtain to have Folded Pleats and will pull completely to the wall side-to-side. (We usually make this determination once you provide us the exact measurements from Wall-to-Wall and from Floor to I-Beam or other ceiling installation point).

 

We do provide Right Angle Tracks which allow you to pull the Curtain Divider completely off the floor and along the wall. These Angle Tracks are provided at a modest charge extra. Again, we have NOT included this Right Angle in your price. However, should you want to receive this, you can let us know, and we will add this price to the total. Prices will, of course, be quoted to you in advance the shipment of your Curtain Divider, Track & Components.

 

It is also important to note that we provide the curtain about 6 inches from the top to the I Beam or installation point. This allows you to make the necessary adjustments – allowing the curtain to fit correctly at the bottom next to the floor. However, when you send us your hand written shop drawing of the width and the height of the desired curtain, you should provide us with the exact measurements. We will determine the correct measurements for the Curtain from your information.

 

Also, please note that the Solid Base of the curtain can be 6, 8 or 10 feet high solid VINYL FABRIC – Wall-to-Wall) in the color of your choice. This solid base is the full width of your facility. The balance of the curtain from the top of the solid vinyl to the I Beam overhead is furnished with Nylon Mesh. Also, there are Grommets at the top level of the curtain placed 12 inches apart.

A Chain is sewn into a pocket in the base of the solid vinyl Curtain to give the curtain added stability and to allow it to properly weight downward toward the gymnasium floor.

 

 

 

In addition, we have prepared 4 Inch (Your Color) Borders on the 2 sides and the side of the Nylon Net portion of the curtain. Across the top of the curtain, we have provided another 4” Border in the same color as the base (full width of the gym, we will prepare Grommets to be placed 12 inches apart in the top Border (on center). This Corresponds with the hardware we have also included in this Price Quotation. Again the borders will be solid (Color of your Choice) Fabric – same as the base of the curtain. The Nylon Mesh is furnished in WHITE.

 

Also, in accordance with the above SPECIFICATIONS, we are pleased to quote the Track, Hangers, Hooks & Hardware that will be fastened to the I-Beam at the ceiling (or below) level. Once you purchase this Curtain and the Hardware from us, we would appreciate receiving a SHOP DRAWING from you with the Exact Height and Width of the proposed Curtain. You may also have other ideas that should be included on the SHOP DRAWING. By the way, this drawing can be pencil-prepared on an 8-1/2” x 11” sheet of paper. Note all dimensions, and then sign, date and send it to Gymnasium Designs, Inc. (These Shop Drawings a very important). From your Drawing, we will determine the correct measurements we need.

 

NOTE:  Please let us know if you wish to add extra Fabric to the Width of the Curtain to allow for Folded Pleating.  Also, let us know if you wish to consider the Right Angle Hardware to allow the Curtain to pull completely off the Main Gym floor and along the wall. We will Rush The Costs to you if you wish to consider these item(s).
